Versu vs. Revie: From Paid Order to Review

If you compare Versu vs. Revie, your problem likely starts right after the customer has paid. They ask where their order is, request a size change, no one leaves a review, and the second purchase never happens. Both tools work via WhatsApp during that stage, and their websites feature similar terms: order notifications, carts, campaigns, and reviews.

But they approach post-purchase from opposite sides. Revie revolves around requesting reviews and adds order notifications, cart recovery, and campaigns—mostly as automated messages triggered by events in your store. Versu is a conversational retail agent that answers questions, queries your systems, and resolves issues, with reviews included as a module within its Pro plan.

Here, we track an order from payment to review and repurchase, looking at what each tool does at every step, how much they cost at a real volume, and when it makes sense to use one, the other, or both.

Both live after the payment

The simplest way to understand the difference is to ask yourself who starts the conversation.

In Revie, your store almost always starts it. An order status changes, and a notification goes out. A few days pass as configured, and a review request is sent. A cart is left unpaid, and a reminder goes out. It is an outbound messaging system, well-designed to keep the customer informed and encourage feedback, which is why it charges per message sent.

In Versu, anyone can start the conversation, and what matters is what happens when the customer writes in. The agent checks your catalog, inventory by variant, shipping status via the carrier or your order management system, and replies with real-time data. If the customer wants to return something, it guides them through a returns portal. That is why it charges per conversation.

Both approaches make sense, but they solve different problems. A "your order is on the way" notification prevents many questions. A response to "I received the wrong size" prevents you from losing the customer. What you need to know is which of the two problems is costing you more today.

The table summarizes what each company publishes on its site. If something is a deal-breaker for your store, ask about it in the demo using a real order.

The order journey, day by day

To compare with something concrete, let's follow a customer who buys a pair of jeans from your store on a Tuesday night.

Day 0, payment confirmed

Revie sends the order confirmation via WhatsApp as soon as the platform registers it. It is an automated message and requires no manual action. If the customer had a question before paying, Revie is barely involved at that stage, except for its abandoned cart flow and, in the Plus plan, its AI assistant.

Versu may have been there from the start. If the customer asked about the size, the agent checked the size chart, the inventory for that variant, and sent the payment link in the chat. Versu also understands voice notes and photos, which is useful when someone sends a screenshot of a product they saw on social media. If your customers still prefer methods like cash on delivery, ask in the demo how the agent handles it.

Days 1 to 3, preparation and shipping

Revie has notifications for every stage: order prepared with the carrier, tracking number and link; in transit; out for delivery; and delivered. It pulls data from your platform and the carrier. For many stores, this alone significantly reduces "where is my order?" inquiries.

Versu works from the other side. When a customer asks, the agent checks the status using the carrier's data and replies, including shipping costs and delivery times if necessary. Their public offering doesn't detail automatic notifications for every status change, so ask if they can send them or if you have to rely on the customer reaching out. What does help in both cases is choosing your shipping platform in Mexico, because no notification can fix a tracking number that doesn't update.

On delivery day

Revie notifies the customer that the order has been delivered. That same event can trigger a review request after a set number of days. It’s a good idea to allow a few days for the customer to try the product, especially if theunboxing experience is part of what you sell.

Versu doesn't compete on this point with a notification, but rather with what comes next. If something went wrong, the channel is already open and the agent has the order context. For complicated deliveries, it's helpful for your team to understand the ABCs of home delivery and for the agent to know what to say when a driver can't find the address.

The following week, when something didn't go as planned

The jeans didn't fit. The customer writes in to exchange them.

Revie's public offering does not include an exchange or return workflow. Revie sends notifications and requests reviews, but support conversations remain on your customer service line with your team.

Versu has one of its strongest features here. Its returns portal asks for the reason, offers a replacement, lets the customer choose a drop-off point, and generates the label once you approve the case. If the product arrived defective, the agent requests photos. Each case becomes a ticket with an assigned owner, priority, open time, and the full conversation history, and a dashboard shows which types of issues are recurring. It also handles invoice requests and offers alternatives when a product is out of stock.

💡#CubboTip: Before the demos, count how many chats from the last month were exchanges or returns. If it's more than one in ten, that number carries more weight in your decision than any review feature.

Between days 7 and 15, the review

This is where Revie is in its element. The request goes out via WhatsApp after payment or shipping, plus the number of days you choose. It doesn't send a new request to anyone who has received one in the last 30 days, allows you to exclude products, and customers can opt out by typing STOP. The Lite plan accepts reviews with photos, video, and audio, and you can import existing ones.

The Pro plan adds several features that make a difference: choosing the request message, automatic publishing, offering a discount coupon to those who leave a review with a photo or video, analyzing review sentiment with AI, and sending reviews to Google Shopping. It also offers a snippet so that star ratings appear in search results and allows you to share a review as an image for social media. If you offer discounts for reviews, check first how to calculate your selling price so the coupon doesn't eat into your margins.

Versu includes unlimited reviews starting from the Pro plan, published on your store with photos within its loyalty module. Its published offer does not include video or audio reviews, Google Shopping syndication, or sentiment analysis. For many brands, that is enough. For a brand that thrives on reviews, the difference is noticeable.

Reviews carry significant weight in Mexico, where trust still holds back many online purchases. If you want to understand why, the analysis of theMexican consumer behavior helps put it into perspective.

One month later, the repurchase

Revie has post-purchase and reactivation flows for customers who have stopped buying. In the Plus plan, it adds WhatsApp marketing campaigns to your database.

Versu sets up repurchase reminders based on each product's cycle, notifies those who inquired in the last 30 days when items are back in stock, and runs reactivation campaigns. Its segments use days since the last purchase, frequency, and customer value, and its campaigns measure results with an attribution window. If you have never measured how many customers return, start with yourretention rate over time.

Before checkout, where Revie barely plays a role

The comparison changes significantly if a large portion of your chats happens before the purchase. Revie offers cart recovery starting from the Pro plan and, in the Plus plan, includes an AI assistant, personalized messages, and an inbox. However, its focus is not on advising someone who hasn't decided yet.

Versu is designed exactly for that. It checks your catalog and stock by variant in real-time—including physical store inventory starting from the Pro plan—recommends products, suggests sizes, and builds the cart with a payment link directly in the chat. Its abandoned cart flow triggers after 15 minutes, while the intent is still fresh. If carts are your biggest leak, also check themost common reasons for cart abandonment, because many are resolved in the store rather than on WhatsApp.

When the customer replies

This point seems small, but it isn't. Every tool that sends messages receives replies, and what happens with them determines whether a campaign sells or just informs.

Revie explains it in its help center: when a customer replies to a WhatsApp campaign, they receive an automated response that directs them to your brand's customer service number. In other words, the marketing message comes from one number, and the conversation continues on another. For an order notification, that works. For a promotion, it means the interested customer has to take an extra step.

In Versu, replies arrive in the same customer service inbox, which consolidates WhatsApp, Instagram, webchat, email, and Mercado Libre. The agent replies using the catalog and can guide the customer to payment in the same thread. If the reply requires a human, it becomes a ticket with a priority level and an assigned owner.

A quick response is also a matter of service. The psychology strategies for customer service explain why customers perceive service better when they are answered in the same place where they asked.

Cubbo Engage, if you want your after-sales service to drive sales too

If you are comparing Versu and Revie because you want the customer to be informed after the purchase, but also want every response to potentially lead to another sale, there is a third option worth including in the same test.

Cubbo Engage is an AI agent forsales and support via WhatsAppdesigned for D2C brands in Mexico. It was built by handling real conversations for thousands of orders andworks with your current operations: your store, your warehouse, and your shipping carriers.

It is a better fit for brands selling around 500 orders per month, with high volume on WhatsApp, abandoned carts, and a team that doesn't cover nights or weekends. About 60% of the conversations Engage handles come in outside of business hours, and more than 85% of tickets are resolved without human intervention.

4 pieces in the same conversation

  1. AI Agent: answers using your catalog, makes recommendations, builds the cart, and sends the payment link within the chat, all in your brand's tone.
  2. Automations: abandoned cart, pending payment, shipping notifications, and re-orders, built in a visual editor with triggers, conditions, and delays.
  3. Campaigns: WhatsApp broadcasts to segments. If the customer replies, the agent continues in the same thread and can close the sale without sending them to a different number.
  4. Support: tracking that answers instead of just notifying, exchanges and returns, and hand-off to your team when needed.

Think of a supplement brand. A customer bought protein 25 days ago. Engage sends them a re-order reminder; the customer replies that they want to try a different flavor and asks if the new one has the same number of servings. The agent compares the two products, recommends one, builds the cart, and sends the link. Two weeks later, the same customer writes in to find out where their order is, and Engage recognizes them by their phone number without asking for the order ID.

Tags, memory, and attribution

Engage applies smart tags to every conversation based on what happened: purchase intent, high-ticket item, complaint, checkout failure, or return. Each tag explains why it was applied and links to the exact moment in the chat. You create them in natural language, and they are used to build segments and flows, for example, a campaign only for those who asked about an out-of-stock flavor.

The memory recognizes the number used for the purchase and picks up the conversation days later. Attribution tracks every sale based on the channel that closed it—campaign, recovered cart, or incoming conversation—without double-counting the same sale. Before calling it new revenue, it checks margins, discounts, and returns.

Actions regarding the order, such as correcting an address before shipping, depend on integrations with your store and your order management system. To get started, you need access to Meta Business Suite and a dedicated number provided by the Engage team.

If you want to see it with your own data, schedule a demo and bring three things: a recent order with tracking questions, a size exchange that took too long to resolve, and a campaign you sent where no one replied to the responses in time. This is how you compare Engage using the same material you used with Versu and Revie.

What you pay based on your volume

Both charge using different units: Versu per conversation, Revie per message sent. That is why it is best to do the math with your own numbers.

How Revie charges

Revie has four plans. "Por Uso" has no monthly fee and charges 12 cents per message sent; it includes the review widget and moderation. Lite costs 9 dollars a month, Pro 39, and Plus 99. In those three, in addition to the monthly fee, each message is charged based on the destination country and message type, and the rate for Mexico is not published. Their plan guide recommends Plus for stores with more than 400 orders per month.

In itspricing page There are also packages based on order volume: up to 1,000 orders for $59 and up to 2,000 for $99, with custom plans available beyond that. Ask which of the two options applies to you and what each one includes.

How Versu charges

Versu publishes three plans on itspricing page. Starter costs $149 per month for 300 conversations and charges 50 cents per additional conversation. Pro costs $299 for 2,000 conversations and 40 cents per additional. Max costs $549 for 4,000 conversations and 30 cents per additional. They also sell conversation bundles that are cheaper than the overage fee: 500 for $100 on Starter, 800 for $160 on Pro, and 1,000 for $150 on Max.

There are no implementation fees, no long-term contracts, and annual payments receive a 20% discount. An additional channel costs $20 per month, and an additional store costs $50. Versu does not publish exactly what counts as a conversation, so be sure to ask, especially if you plan to send notifications or run campaigns.

A store with 800 orders per month

If you only want to request reviews, Revie Pay-As-You-Go is hard to beat. With one request per order, you would send 800 messages per month and pay about $96.

If you also want order notifications and cart recovery, you need Revie Pro. With four notifications per order, one review request, and 200 cart reminders, you would send about 4,200 messages per month. You would pay a $39 monthly fee plus those messages at the Mexico rate, which is not published. To give you an idea, every cent of difference in that rate changes the bill by about $42 per month.

At Versu, let's assume that same store has about 1,100 conversations per month between pre-purchase questions and after-sales support. On Starter, you would pay $149 plus 800 extra conversations; with two 500-conversation bundles, that would be $200 more, about $349 in total. On Pro, you would pay $299 and have conversations to spare, with reviews, unlimited campaigns, and cross-selling included. At that volume, Pro is cheaper than Starter with add-ons.

For both accounts, you must add Meta's charges when they apply separately. And don't just compare the total: Revie is charging you to inform and request feedback, while Versu is charging you to converse and resolve.

Install in an afternoon or launch in two weeks

Revie is installed directly from your store platform. The Pay-As-You-Go and Lite plans use a Meta-authorized Revie number; your brand's own number is available on a higher plan (their guide places it in Pro, while their pricing page lists it in Plus, so be sure to confirm). Their pricing page indicates that they import orders from the last 60 days for free, so you can request reviews for recent purchases from day one.

Versu starts with a 20- to 30-minute diagnostic demo and an assigned team. Integration with your store and systems takes less than three days; WhatsApp Business, Meta, and payments take up to a week; and training and workflows take about another week. They promise to be responding before the first month is up. Billing begins on the first day, along with onboarding.

The difference isn't just time. Revie asks for simple decisions: when to request the review, which products to exclude, which notifications to activate. Versu asks for information about your operations: exchange policies, repurchase rules, shipping carriers, and physical store inventory.

Where each one connects

Revie works with Shopify, Tiendanube, and VTEX, and only via WhatsApp. If your store is on another platform, that alone may be the deciding factor.

Versu connects with many more store platforms, such as VTEX, WooCommerce, Magento, and PrestaShop, as well as shipping carriers, billing systems, ERPs like SAP, order and warehouse management systems, and with Mercado Libre and Falabella. It also writes back: it can create orders, issue documents, and coordinate shipments. Their public examples are primarily from Chile, although they have an office in Mexico, so ask about integrations with your local shipping carriers and billing system.

If you sell on marketplaces, Versu has a clear advantage: it handles Mercado Libre after-sales support from the Pro plan, in the same inbox as your WhatsApp.

Can Versu replace Revie?

This is the question many stores that already use Revie and are looking at an AI agent are asking. The short answer: it depends on how much you rely on your reviews.

If you use Revie only to request text and photo reviews and display them on your store, Versu Pro covers that within its plan. If you use video and audio reviews, automatic discounts for reviews, Google Shopping syndication, or sentiment analysis, these do not appear in Versu's published offering. In that case, it makes sense to keep both: Revie for reputation and Versu for conversation.

If you decide to keep both, be careful not to message the same customer twice for the same order. Define who sends shipping notifications, who requests the review, and which number the customer should reply to. And if you decide to migrate, Revie allows you to export your reviews, so you won't lose your history.

Which store needs which one

Revie is a better fit if you process fewer than a few hundred orders per month, if your priority is collecting and displaying reviews, if you are looking for automated order notifications at a very low entry cost, and if your store is on one of their three platforms. It is also a good fit if your team already handles chats well and you just want to keep the customer informed.

Versu is a better fit if you receive many questions before and after purchase, if exchanges and returns are a large part of your operations, if you also sell on Mercado Libre or have a physical store, and if you want the agent to take action within your systems rather than just sending notifications. It works best if you can dedicate two weeks to getting it up and running.

If you are a D2C brand in Mexico with significant volume on WhatsApp and you want your after-sales service to also generate sales, it is worth adding Cubbo Engage to the comparison alongside your own chats.

How to know if your choice is working

Define three or four metrics before signing up and review them monthly. With Revie: percentage of orders with reviews, reviews with photos or videos, and tracking questions that reach your team. With Versu: conversations resolved without human intervention, time to close an exchange, and sales driven by campaigns. Thecustomer service KPIs and theecommerce metrics give you a good foundation for choosing which ones.

Check performance during peak seasons, too. A shipping notification that works in a normal month might not be enough duringHot Sale, when questions multiply and delivery times stretch out. Plan changes in advance according to theshopping seasons in Mexico, and don't launch new workflows during the same week as a campaign.

And if you are looking to bring customers back, measure the 60- and 90-day repurchase rate. The customer loyalty strategies give you ideas to complement what the tool does.

Choose based on the part of the order process that is currently slipping through the cracks

Versu and Revie both work after payment, but at different stages. Revie is excellent for keeping the customer informed about their order status and collecting feedback, with a low entry cost and much more comprehensive reviews. Versu is better when the customer needs an answer: where their order is, how to exchange a size, or if an item is back in stock. It costs more, but it resolves more.

If your gap is in reviews, start with Revie. If it is in after-sales chats that your team cannot keep up with, start with Versu. And if it is both, check if it makes sense to combine them or look for a single tool that covers the entire conversation.

If you want every notification and every post-purchase response to also have the potential to sell, talk to a specialist. Bring your monthly conversation volume and some real chats to review how Engage would respond using your data.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

How much does Revie cost in Mexico?

Revie has a Pay-As-You-Go plan with no monthly fee that charges 12 cents per message sent. Lite costs $9 per month, Pro $39, and Plus $99, plus a per-message fee depending on the country and message type. The per-message rate for Mexico is not published.

How much does Versu cost?

Versu lists three plans: Starter for $149 with 300 conversations, Pro for $299 with 2,000, and Max for $549 with 4,000. Additional conversations cost between 30 and 50 cents depending on the plan, and cheaper bulk packages are available.

Does Versu also request reviews?

Yes. Starting with the Pro plan, it includes unlimited reviews posted to your store with photos. Their published offer does not include video or audio reviews, automatic discounts for reviews, or submission to Google Shopping, all of which Revie offers.

Does Revie handle exchanges and returns?

It is not listed in their published offer. Revie sends order notifications and review requests; when a customer replies to a campaign, it directs them to your brand's customer service number. Versu does have a returns portal.

Can I use Versu and Revie at the same time?

Yes, and it makes sense if reviews are very important to your brand. Define which tool sends shipping notifications and which one requests the review so you don't message the same customer twice for the same order.

Does Cubbo Engage work with my current operation?

Yes. Engage is contracted separately and works with your current store, warehouse, and shipping carriers. What it can do with your orders depends on the available integrations.
