What happened on the first day of Hot Sale 2023?

On the first day, a median growth of 1.5x was achieved among the e-commerce businesses that work with us, which doesn't represent a high increase but rather a normal one, since in Hot Sale 2022 the median was 1.4x.

However, there is a noticeable decrease in the number of orders. During 2022, growth was 5.2x, and in Hot Sale 2023 it is 3.6x, which may be due to "buy now, pay later" payment gateways, as they offered fewer discounts.

According to Tiendanube, the campaign saw revenue growth of 60% and a 111% increase in the number of purchases compared to Hot Sale 2022, and the preferred payment method is debit card at 26%, followed by credit card at 22%‍

The average order value is between 1,100 and 1,360 MXN with 5 products per order. 
During Hot Sale, at Cubbo we prepared and shipped more than 70,000 products, which represents a 4x increase in total orders compared to a normal week, while the top 10% of brands with the highest growth rate exceeded 4.5x

On our portal, we saw the highest volume of interaction on June 6 at 10 p.m., and the states with the most sales are: CDMX, Jalisco, Nuevo León, Querétaro, Yucatán, Puebla, and Quintana Roo.

Meanwhile, the best-selling categories are: electronics, home, and personal care/beauty

On the other hand, the most searched terms on the Mercado Libre platform were: iPhone, sneakers, wireless headphones, Nintendo Switch, and tools.

And the promotions that were most successful were discounts of up to 60%, free shipping starting at a certain amount, and buy 2 get 1 free deals.
